Job Vacancy: Junior Customer Service Manager – InterNations, Germany

InterNations, the largest global network and information site for people who live and work abroad is looking for someone to join their team for a parental leave coverage (1-year contract).

As part of the Community Management Department, the selected person will be responsible for the customer-oriented support of InterNations’ member base, helping to establish a long-term relationship with members and ensuring the quality of the InterNations community.

Job description
As a Junior Customer Service Manager at InterNations, you will:
– review members’ applications and manage member accounts
– be the first point of contact for InterNations’ members
– deal with member support requests in English by email
– give technical support and act as a mediator between the members and the IT Department
– be responsible for detecting guideline breaches and taking appropriate action
– monitor forums to ensure a high quality standard
– maintain and update member information material
– develop and improve the platform’s usability in close – communication with the IT Department
– help to implement forum activation and further member support strategies

You must meet the following requirements
– experience in customer support and community management
– excellent written English language skills, ideally native speaker
– affinity to web platforms, social media and IT
– experience in a start-up company and fast-pace working environment
– good knowledge of Microsoft and internet applications
independent, reliable & structured working methods with a hands-on mentality
– ability to work under pressure and willingness to take on routine work in effective ways
– strong communication skills, customer orientation and composure
– affinity to statistics and to an efficient work approach
